FRA 224 SAFTEY STRIPE INSTRUCTIONS

This instructional guide is used for the following part numbers.

#SS001 -  FRA Yellow

#SS002 - Florescent Yellow

#SS003 - Aged Yellow

#SS004 - Group Pack

Each letter (A, B, C) represent each size of stripe.

Letter A - 8" x 18" (End Stripe)

Letter B - 4" x 36" (End Stripe)

Letter C - 4" x 18" (Middle Stripe)

Each letter is shown below in the placement diagrams.

Stripe A or B can be used for end markings on a flat car, spline car or coil car depending on space and application.

Spacing- 12' maximum space between each center stripe on the rail car (0.1397" in HO Scale 1:87)

How to install

STEP ONE,
Remove each stripe
one at a time with a
pair of tweezers, 
utility knife or a
toothpick. Careful
to only pull off 
one stripe at a time.

​STEP TWO,
Apply the stripe to
the model in the
desired location.
For best results,
find a smooth
flat surface without
rivets or seems in
the model.

STEP THREE,
Burnish the stripe
using a tooth pick
or similar, careful
not to press too
hard. Do not use
anything metallic
or it may scratch
the model’s surface. 

Covering up factory markings

​

Covering up factory markings is

very easy and clean. Just line up the stripe and apply. Also works over decals!

Optional Clear Coat Finish

​

To keep the safety stripe in place permanently on 

the model, apply a light clear coat finish. This will protect your model and the adhesive stripes.
